To start watching Hulu on you iOS device, download the Hulu app from the App Store. Then, sign up or log in with your credentials - You're good to go!

 

 

Supported models


We recommend updating your device to iOS 9.0 and above to download the latest app version. While still compatible, users running iOS 5, 6, 7, and 8 will only be able to download an archived version of the Hulu app. 
 

iPad

Requires an iPad Wi-Fi or iPad Wi-Fi + 3G/4G (Running iOS 9.0 or above).

 

iPhone

Requires an iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 5C, 6 or 6 Plus (Running iOS 9.0 or above).

iPod touch

Requires a 3rd Generation iPod touch or later (Running iOS 9.0 or above).

Downloading the Hulu app


You can download the app from the Apple App Store by following this link. Alternatively, you can follow these steps to find it in the App Store on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch:

  • Go to your Home Screen
  • Tap the App Store icon
  • Go to Search, and type Hulu
  • Tap the green Hulu icon
  • Tap the Free button, then confirm by tapping Install
  • When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password to complete the download

To log into the Hulu app, tap the newly-downloaded Hulu app, select Log In and enter your Hulu credentials. Your device will now be activated.  

 

 

Signing up on your iOS device


iTunes billing

For new Hulu subscribers, first download the Hulu app from the App Store on your iOS device. Once you've launched Hulu, you will have the option to sign up for Hulu directly from within the app for $7.99/month.

If you sign up on an iOS device (iPads and iPhones) and pay for your Hulu subscription with your iTunes account, there is an additional charge due to transaction costs associated with Apple. The cost of Hulu commercials free when you sign up on an iOS device is $13.99/month. You may also subscribe to Hulu by visiting hulu.com/start on a mobile or web browser to avoid this charge.

By signing up for Hulu on your iOS device, you will be billed each month through your Apple account. For more information about Apple billing, please visit here

 

SHOWTIME®

At this time, due to technical constraints, subscription updates for the SHOWTIME Add-on cannot be made through the iOS mobile account page or app. To adjust your SHOWTIME subscription, please visit hulu.com/account through a computer browser and select "Manage" next to Add-ons to select or remove SHOWTIME. Switching plans on your iOS device


Hulu billing 

For current subscribers who are billed directly through Hulu, you can manage your plan through the Hulu app on your iOS device. From within the app:

  • Tap the Menu button
  • Select the gear icon
  • Tap Hulu Plan to adjust your settings
  • From your account page, tap Change Plan
  • On the "Change Your Plan" page, select No Commercials or Limited Commercials
  • Confirm by selecting Change Plan

By switching to the No Commercials plan, you will be charged instantly and your billing date will reset. Any additional time on your current billing cycle will be credited toward your new No Commercials plan.

By switching to the Limited Commercials plan, you will continue having access to your current No Commercials plan for the remainder of your current billing cycle. At the start of your next billing cycle, you will be charged for your new plan.

 

iTunes billing

For Apple-billed subscribers, to switch to the No Commercials plan through Hulu on your iOS device:

  • From within the Hulu app, tap the Menu button
  • Select the gear icon
  • Tap Hulu Plan to adjust your settings
  • Select No Commercials
  • Tap Continue
  • Confirm your selection (you may be promoted to enter your Apple ID)

By switching to the No Commercials plan, you will continue having access to your current Limited Commercials plan for the remainder of your current billing cycle. At the start of your next billing cycle, your iTunes account will be charged for your new plan. For more information about the price of the No Commercials plan on iOS, please visit here

To immediately switch to the No Commercials plan, launch the Hulu app after you've pending-switched your plan through iTunes. After the app loads, you should see a screen prompting you to "Expedite" the switch. You can also access this feature by navigating to the Hulu Plan settings within the app. By expediting your switch to the No Commercials plan, your iTunes account will be charged instantly and your billing date will reset. Any additional time on your current billing cycle will be credited toward your new No Commercials plan.

 

For Apple-billed subscribers, to switch to the Limited Commercials plan through iTunes on your iOS device:

  • From your iOS home screen, tap Settings
  • Navigate to iTunes & App Store
  • Select your Apple ID
  • Tap View Apple ID and sign in, if prompted
  • Under the Subscriptions section, tap Manage
  • Select Hulu to manage your subscription settings
  • Select the Limited Commercials plan
  • Tap Done

By switching to the Limited Commercials plan, you will continue having access to your current No Commercials plan for the remainder of your current billing cycle. At the start of your next billing cycle, your iTunes account will be charged for your new plan.
